In1862 Christian Schussele painted "Men of Progress" to recognize scientists and inventors who "had altered the course of contemporary civilization". In our Smithsonian NMAH, American Enterprise exhibit, a visitor taps any of the nineteen figures, and a kinetic silent animation is triggered which illustrates the subject's contribution.
